Hello, just a quick post to share some resources that were mentioned at the workshop:

Jeanne Doyon mentioned a book about published authors, and the stories Behind the Stories by Diane Eble. I just bought this on Amazon for five dollars and some change.

It looks like a great read. Something to encourage us as we press forward in our writing endeavors. As Carolyn said, "Creativity is sometime birthed in monotony." I know we've all settled back into our lives and routines, but if we make an effort, we will be able to guard our space and create.

I enjoyed each piece that each of you shared in the workshop. So whether you check in on the blog, or not, keep writing.

I told several of you about a book that I found to be very helpful in the self-publishing process. This book is entitled, The Fine Print of Self Publishing by Mark Levine, an attorney who was investigating the self-publishing business for a personal project. He did enough research that he was able to publish a book (now in it's 4th edition).

This was a very helpful book when I had to determine where to go to publish the mother/daughter memoir, A Harvest of Joy. Presently the book is the copy-editing phase. It is due to be in book form by November.

  1. Thanks for sharing the resources, Tammy. Yes, I do think reading about how these writers got started is very encouraging.

I know each of you has a story too....wanna share?
